Homemade Valentine’s Day 2

Today we’re talking about Homemade Valentine’s Day and sharing some really fun, inexpensive and possibly healthier options for celebrating with your kiddos! I truly love Valentine’s Day- I really do. While I believe we should certainly show our love all year, I also see Valentine’s Day as a great way to help our kids experience how fun it is to intentionally love on other people. How can you go wrong celebrating love and showing your friends, spouse,   grandparents or even neighbors love? It’s so much more than expensive roses and a Hallmark card.

The Valentine’s below are what my kids and I created for each of their classmates. We wanted something homemade, personal and not too expensive. I love these because each of their classmates will bring one home, having a picture of their friend, not just a piece of paper. This makes it personal and as a Mom, I’d be so happy to see pictures of the kids my children are friends with!Homemade Valentine's DayTo make a Valentine photo card of your own:

  1. Take a picture of your hold with their arm out to the side, like they’re holding something.
  2. Next, add text with a photo editor (like picmonkey.com).
  3. Upload your photos to Costco, Bartells or wherever you like to order prints.
  4. Punch two holes in the photo, thread a sucker through and then have your child sign the Valentine!

Easy, very inexpensive (less than .50 cents each), unique and personal!PicMonkey CollageHomemade Valentine's Day2
