National Trails Day

National Trails DayHere at NW Healthy Mama, we believe health is not a specific diet, but rather a frame of mind, a meal that helps our families thrive and an adventure outside with good friends. We believe in enjoying motherhood and loving our people well. We believe that when there’s an opportunity to get out and adventure with friends and family, it’s good to jump on it!  There’s a special day coming up in a few weeks, which presents the perfect opportunity to grab some friends for a hike, or plan a day trip with your family.

June 4, 2016 is American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day. the country’s largest celebration of trails.  National Trails Day events will take place in every state across the country and will include hikes, biking and horseback rides, paddling trips, birdwatching, geocaching, gear demonstrations, stewardship projects and more.

This post will hopefully provide you with some great hike ideas. Grab your people and get planning!

Do one of these with young or tired legs:15 NW Washington Hikes that are 3 Miles Long or Less

Or choose one of these! Some of them might still have snow, so check the Washington Trail Reports first.10One of these would be perfect as well (they don’t need to just be for Mother’s Day).
