We asked and you all answered! Here’s a collection of your NW Favorites! Be sure to pin this for later!
From @Shawnauw “A favorite family friendly PNW hike we discovered is Spada Lake at the Sultan Basin. It’s a reservoir lake so there’s no swimming allowed but it’s quite beautiful and there are so many trails to hike around the lake.Plus all around the lake there are fun and secluded picnic areas making it very family friendly. You can also walk up to the dam and there’s a short kid friendly trail with a pretty view! The hike we chose was part of the Greider Lakes Trail. The kids loved all the creeks and waterfalls! Plus the magical reflection pool was one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. It’s a wonderful area to explore with the family plus dogs are welcome (on leash). We did happen upon some bear scat so be aware of your surroundings. We also saw some deer on this hike! Quite beautiful and less crowded than many of the hikes we’ve been on that are so close to the city. Backpacking and overnight camping on some of the trails is also welcome. “
From @amberlouiselloyd “Backpack to Shi Shi Beach!” Enough said. If you haven’t gone, this is a MUST.
And of course, because I’m a yoga instructor, I love to take my yoga outdoors! This photo was taken in Bellingham in front of our favorite restaurant, The Mount Bakery, where the Eggs Benedict is so delicious you’ll want to lick the plate clean.”
From @pnw_travel_dog ” This is Rockaway Beach. In winter or summer, this is a perfect local beach. My parent’s parents love coming here and now our little family does, too. Our dog especially loves it cause she can run and run the beach. “
