When I learned about Strong As A Mother, I was immediately captivated and I knew NW Healthy Mama needed to do something with this new movement ASAP. This brand, this group of women who are rising up and celebrating the strength in motherhood, reminds me so much of you all. Since starting NW Healthy Mama a year ago, I’ve been privileged to talk with many woman and while all of your stories are different, a common thread runs through. You are strong. You are brave. You have been through things. You’re still going through things and you’re coming out stronger, shinier and more alive than ever.

So today, we’re celebrating the strength in all Moms and no matter where you’re at in this journey, you belong here.

This is for you, for me, for all of us out there fighting our own battles, choosing strength over weakness, taking the high road, instead of being complacent. It’s for the mom who’s child is terribly ill and the mom who fighting for her own health. The woman who’s dealt with infertility, with the promise in her heart of a baby. The adoptive Mom, who’s walked a long, important road. The Mom who’s spent more time at Children’s Hospital, than she could have ever imagined.

It’s for the gal who does it all on her own, when her husband works all day and into the night. It’s for all the Moms, gathering  a little more patience and another kind word, when the reserves feel gone. It’s for the days that seem to never end, but start fresh in the morning. It’s for the woman who pulls herself out of bed, telling depression that it’s not going to win! For every woman who’s knows the good, hard work of Mothering is SO worth it. Is there anything stronger than a mother? I think not.
