Keeping Those Healthy 2018 Goals: Meet Fresh Plate NW

Happy New Year, friends! If you’re like me you’re more than ready for a bit of a reset. December is great, but don’t you ever wish we could celebrate without getting wrapped up in all the sugar?

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing with you a few options that’ll help you keep those Healthy 2018 goals. For this first post, I want to introduce you to Fresh Plate NW. They are the Northwest’s first fresh meal delivery service and if you’re into local, healthy food, delivered straight to your home, this post is for you!

Recently a box full of mostly locally sourced, healthy, gorgeous and ready to cook food, complete with the step by step instructions arrived at our door….

The directions were easy to follow and I personally loved how balanced the meals were.  It’s funny because when I created my vision board for this year, I was drawn to photos of produce. Seeing all the produce in this box made me so happy.  The meals turned out delicious and I was so happy to have a wonderful, healthy, home cooked meal without ever having to leave the house.

You know what this box made me think of? An at home date night! How fun would it be to order one of these, stay home with a bottle of wine and cook with your sweetie? This box would be ideal for that!If we want to eat more produce in the new year and feed ourselves with care, we need to make it work for our lifestyle. Sometimes you might have weeks where you have lots of time to grocery shop and cook. Other weeks you might have less time and when you’re working long hours or super busy with the kids, it’s important to still be able to eat great food.

With fresh, locally sourced ingredients and step-by-step recipes delivered to your doorstep, Fresh Plate makes it easier to cook a scratch made meal.

Fresh Plate likely delivers in your area. Find them on their website, Instagram and Facebook

My top food related goals for this year are:

Eat WAY more produce.

Eat sugar ONLY on special occasions.

Eat food that’s real food, as in whole foods that nourish my body (it’s actually pretty simple, right?!)

What are your 2018 food goals? I’d love to hear!

A huge thank you to Fresh Plate for providing us with a delivery to try. As always, here on NW Healthy Mama, we only work with brands we love and believe in.
